<div>This one goes out to former addicts who have been loved, saved by love, and to those who loved them. Also to those who died, and those who loved them.</div>

I’m a writer, and I hang with a good friend, also a writer, and we do agree that not all, but many recovering addicts do tend to become spiritual.

I do also feel that loving an addict leaves one wide open to terrible vulnerability and suffering. I watched my father put my mother through it for 40 years before he drank himself to death.

    “Please Don’t Die”

    by Father John Misty:

    One more wasted morning
When I could be holding you to my side
Somebody stop this joyless joy ride
I’m feeling older than my 35 years

    One more cryptic message
Thinking that I might end it
Oh god, you must have woken up
To me saying that it’s all too much
I’ll take it easy with the morbid stuff

Oh, and honey, I’m worried ’bout you
    You’re too much to lose
    You’re all that I have
And honey, I’m worried ’bout you
    Put yourself in my shoes
You’re all that I have, so please don’t die
    Wherever you are tonight

    All these pointless benders
    With reptilian strangers
Oh my God, you’re so naive
You leave this world in a drunken heap
Who’ll make the arrangements, baby, them or me?

Oh, and honey, I’m worried ’bout you
    You’re too much to lose
    You’re all that I have
And honey, I’m worried ’bout you
    Put yourself in my shoes
    You’re all that I have
    You’re all that I have
And you’re all that I have, so please don’t die
    Wherever you are tonight

So, not exactly a spiritual link, but definitely the work of a spiritual man, the beloved Mr. Fred Rogers.

My comment on the below YT video: Carnegie, Rockefeller and Bloom were instrumental in accomplishing the exact opposite of what Mr. Rogers accomplished in his work. Theirs was a compulsion based schooling system specifically planned to make children feel small, insignificant and to seek approval, not thinking for themselves. I think Mr. Rogers may have known that on some level, what he and young minds were up against. We may not see his like again. RIP Fred, and God Bless You.

<div>Even though I studied with the Witnesses for two years, I never understood this one thing. I sat and debated this one point with a devout Christian for hours, and I still didn’t get it.</div>

    “Jesus died for our sins”

“Jesus freed the world from sin”

Very obviously, the Word is open to interpretation. I often wonder about the modern version, and how certain things are framed.

The following video, it’s just cobbled together from a few things Jim Carrey said in public.

For me, a celebrities’ use of their public profile is not usually a cause for praise.

I view the vast majority of media figures as tools of the “glamour” which hijacks our attention.

    Ahem!

Anyway my point: Jim uses his public profile to bring true wisdom to many. Thank you Jim!

Jim has succeeded in helping me to understand Christ’s forgiveness and compassion even in the face of the terrible cruelty of his oppressors, and the suffering they inflicted upon him.

Jesus saved the world from sin from HIS perspective. “Father forgive them, they know not what they do.”

For me, this does NOT absolve the world of sin, but it DOES set the most tragic, bloody and visceral example of forgiveness in Jesus’ teachings. It also teaches us to follow Jesus’ example. I’d like to think this was his noble intention.

Evil cannot resist or countenance compassion. Each of us is saved from our pattern of sin if we follow Jesus’ example of forgiveness, beginning with ourselves, and then others.

    Jim says:

“It’s up to each one of us to free the world from sin, from our perspective, and that is what opens up the gates of heaven.”

Speaking for myself, from the moment I developed the ability to turn away from resentment, and embrace compassion, that was when paranoia, entitlement and victimhood began to disappear.

<div>Father John Misty, no idea if he is a bona fide man of the cloth, but he speaks truth, that’s for sure!</div>

I really love this song as well as the video. Anyone who has become awake and aware, and yet has not found their tribe, may find that their family and friends are now strangers to them, and will be going through the isolation which for me, “God’s Favourite Customer” embodies. I speak of awareness in both the context of faith, and the destruction of critical thought by design. Enjoy!

<div>Oooh this here is a doozie, I’m whipping through these Swedenborg lectures.</div>

It gets to the platform and nature of consciousness both cosmically and at the human level around 40 minutes in.

So, Dr. George Dole refutes Penrose’s theory that microtubes polarised around brain neurons constitutes a quantum based computer producing consciousness. He then cites Eccles’ theory that ideas do not have mass, and that neural activity is caused by thought, not the other way around. It is the direction of causation which is the issue. Eccles also suggests that the quantum computer we call the brain, receives the spiritual at a sub quantum level then integrates it into the neurons.

On a personal note, I happen to know that the electromagnetic frequency of earth itself resonates at the Schumann resonance of 7.83hz, which is matched by the brain during Transcendental Meditation. For me, this indicates the baseline of consciousness entry point, with the usual closed off thought energy or Shakti, causing all the ruckus through regular thought, settle down boys!

I mean look, I’m new to what is called the Kingdom, right now my perception of it runs to deep joy, love and intuition, in time, well who knows? However, I came to faith as a skeptic, and I do feel it’s always good to have validation, without necessarily being a doubter.

Anyway, Dole’s talk below, followed by Schumann Resonance Data:

<div>I will add, I research my data, I submit information requests and i read papers published by people like Coleman and Chomsky, so I am very aware of the crimes committed worldwide in the last 5 years, and their historical origins going back 800 years, and although these things are certainly connected to the topic of Spiritual Warfare, that is a rabbit hole which will go way off topic, nor will I be drawn on that in this thread, I just wanted y’all to know I’m not being glib, nor naive. Suffering is real, but in terms of mental and spiritual suffering, once there is awareness, suffering can become a choice.
    </div>

    G. K. Chesterton wrote –

“Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly. Solemnity flows out of men naturally, but laughter is a leap. It is easy to be heavy, hard to be light. Satan fell by the force of gravity.”Chesterton also said –

“Moderate strength is shown in violence. Supreme strength is shown in levity.”

From this I take away the wisdom that love and laughter are linked, both elicit joy. Those who tempt us with fear and hatred, love and laughter are the antidote. So, love the demon, or laugh at them.

Well, for me, so know that this is my take, we must first look at the words presented to us in this thread:

    “Spiritual Warfare”

Language CAN be a form of magic, spelling can be a spell. Some books of magic are divine, some are not. Both are instructional. Alas, the latter only through consequence.

A war is implied, and if we identify with that, we go to war.

But is there another point of view? Can we arrest our reaction in the moment, and say, what is this really?

We can love our demons, or the demons loosed upon us by others, and regard them as instructional.

We become the energy directed at us if we believe it. If righteousness cancels out love, then virtue is stolen by the goody goodies, as Confucious posits.

We neutralise evil if we send back love, and if the threat is physical, then incarceration must be accompanied by forgiveness, love, and rehabilitation.

Evil is for me, at it’s heart, nihilism. Suffering embraced, then turned to bitterness. Most who rule do so from fear, and this was learned through suffering.

Love the demon, and you drive it from you, or you bring it back into the grace of God.

Right now, billions are no longer buying the narrative, they turn to what has been hidden and lost, and so will be saved.

In the Ramayana, God took form as Ram, along with his wife, Sita.

Sita was kidnapped by the magician Ravana, and Ram sent his servant Hanuman to rescue her, which he duly did.

Ram rewarded Hanuman by freeing him of Ego.

As it turned out, when not in form, Ravana himself was a very high being, playing the villain, to enable the conditions of the quest.

So, what can we learn from our demons, and those deployed by others? Well, we can look to the fact that fear is the agenda, also greed. So perhaps be fearless, and be giving.

Busy afternoon ahead folks, to be continued. Peace and Love to all xx

Well, back in the late 90’s an Aussie by the name of Rob Dougan produced his album Furious Angels, the title track featuring on The Matrix Soundtrack, and in one of the major fight scenes as I recall. Chap has depth, other tracks include “One and The Same” and “Speed Me Towards Death” he then pretty much vanished until more recently, with some reworked versions of some old tracks and entirely new stuff too. Really loving the new stuff, I’ll post two of them here, along with a recap of his work from back in the day. Remember “Clubbed To Death”? Yep, that was him.

Nosso Lar (Astral City: A Spiritual Journey) is a really beautiful and moving film made in 2010. I am not a spiritist, I know nothing of Kardec, but I definitely subscribe to some of the themes in this film, both of a community in Heaven, and also Reincarnation. For me, realisation of my ignorance is wisdom, for then I am not dogmatic, and can be open to new ideas. Anyway, back to the film. It appears to be an exploration of the massive shock of disorientation after death for the individual who dies an unnatural death, which in this case, is lifestyle related. I do not necessarily subscribe to the idea that shock would come following such a death, that probably depends upon one’s level of understanding, but the journey of the protagonist is one of shock, a sojourn in some kind of grim purgatory or hell type environment, then being retrieved by some kind of higher being to a kind of heavenly hospital, some education, being reunited with his mother, and then some expectation in the heavenly community of an influx of souls from some undescribed crisis, and also some fun scenarios around choices and decisions for going back to Earth. Really interesting ideas, really beautiful, and certainly uplifting. IMDB link below:
